How to use it

Choose the chocolate label, select a bar size, and enter the number of bars. If the exact package weight matters, choose Custom and enter the bar mass; the current non-custom size labels all fall back to 100 g in the calculation.

How the calculation works

Total chocolate mass = effective bar mass × number of bars. In the current calculation, the named 40 g, 50 g, 80 g, and 100 g presets all fall back to 100 g; only the Custom option uses the entered custom bar mass. Chocolate type is displayed but does not change the mass arithmetic.

Example

With Chocolate type = Dark chocolate 70–85%, Bar size = 100 g, Custom bar weight = 100 g, the calculator returns 100 g for “Chocolate amount.” The same run also shows Chocolate type = dark70; Bar size = 100 g; Number of bars = 1. Changing one input at a time makes it easy to see which assumption is driving the result.

Limitations and notes
