CBC and coagulation data often become more useful after one focused calculation. Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma Prognosis Calculator applies the specific hematology formula or score built into this tool and keeps its assumptions visible.
What this calculator does
Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma Prognosis Calculator uses Age, Stage, Extranodal site, LDH, and ECOG/Zubrod performance status to calculate R-IPI prognosis group. Where supported, it also shows Estimated 4-year progression-free survival and Estimated 4-year overall survival so the primary result is easier to check. It follows the exact field flow and engine behavior in this plugin rather than describing a different calculator with the same name. Hematology formulas can organize CBC, coagulation, transfusion, or prognostic data, but a score or derived index does not replace the smear, assay method, disease context, or treatment protocol.
How to use it
Enter or select Age, Stage, Extranodal site, LDH, and ECOG/Zubrod performance status. Use the units offered by the calculator and keep paired laboratory or treatment values from the same clinical episode whenever the formula assumes that. If an entry is unknown, do not substitute a guess simply to obtain a number.
How the calculation works
The revised IPI-style total adds one point for age over 60 plus the stored points for stage, extranodal involvement, LDH, and ECOG performance status. The engine groups totals as 0, 1–2, or 3–5 and displays the fixed 4-year progression-free and overall-survival estimates encoded for those groups.
Example
Using the sample values prefilled in this calculator, the primary result is 0 R-IPI points (Very good prognosis), Estimated 4-year progression-free survival is 94%, and Estimated 4-year overall survival is 94%. This example demonstrates the plugin’s own calculation path; replace the sample inputs with verified values before interpreting a real result.
How to interpret the result
Read the output as very good prognosis derived from the entered laboratory or clinical variables. Use the relevant disease pathway and laboratory context before turning the number into a diagnosis, prognosis, or treatment decision.
Limitations and notes
R-IPI estimates come from treated cohorts and are not a personal survival guarantee. Modern DLBCL prognosis also depends on molecular subtype, genetics, age/fitness, treatment, and response assessment.
