Economic Injury Disaster Loan Em. Adv. (EIDL)

A finance number becomes easier to trust when you can trace it back to the inputs. Economic Injury Disaster Loan Em. Adv. (EIDL) recreates the COVID-19 EIDL program from the eligibility, income, household, benefit, or program amounts entered.

What this calculator does

Economic Injury Disaster Loan Em. Adv. (EIDL) recreates the COVID-19 EIDL program from the eligibility, income, household, benefit, or program amounts entered. The form asks for eligible economic injury, advance already received, eidl loan rate and loan term. The result should therefore be read as a calculation from those displayed assumptions, not as live market, lender, tax, or government-program data unless the page explicitly supplies such a feed.

How to use it

Enter Eligible economic injury, Advance already received, EIDL loan rate and Loan term. Keep monetary inputs in one currency; the currency selector formats results and does not convert exchange rates. Enter rates and percentages on the scale shown by the field label; do not silently switch between a decimal and a percent. Keep time values in the period shown on the form so a monthly figure is not accidentally entered as an annual one or vice versa. Before calculating, recheck Eligible economic injury, Advance already received, EIDL loan rate against the source values you intend to model. If a default value is already filled in, confirm that it matches the scenario you actually want to test rather than assuming the preset is current or personally appropriate.

How the calculation works

The historical EIDL scenario subtracts any advance already received from the entered eligible economic injury to produce a modeled loan amount, then amortizes that amount at the entered EIDL rate and term. This is the calculation method to use when checking the result from Economic Injury Disaster Loan Em. Adv. (EIDL); values not represented by a visible input should not be inferred as part of the model.

Example

With $50,000 of eligible economic injury and no advance, the modeled loan amount is $50,000. At 3.75% over 30 years, the calculator then estimates a monthly payment.

How to interpret the result

The output answers “what would this historical formula produce under these inputs?” It does not indicate that a current payment, application window, or entitlement exists today. The result is most informative when you also look at the component values that drove it.

Limitations and notes

The COVID-19 EIDL program is historical. SBA stopped accepting new COVID EIDL loans or advances on January 1, 2022, and later closed the portal. This calculator is only a retrospective scenario model, not an application or current eligibility tool. Recalculate when rates, balances, prices, dates, or policy rules change.
