Calories, macros, and nutrient targets can quickly become abstract. Keto Calculator turns the relevant inputs into a practical estimate while keeping the assumptions visible.
What this calculator does
A ketogenic macro plan requires carbohydrates to stay low while protein and fat fill the remaining energy target. This calculator creates that split from calories, body weight, and the selected keto mode. Nutrition equations are planning tools: real energy and nutrient needs still vary with physiology, goals, health conditions, and the quality of the input data.
How to use it
Enter or select the requested values, including Sex, Height, Current weight, Age, Activity level, and Calories. Complete the remaining fields shown in the calculator before reading the result.
How the calculation works
In standard mode, the engine uses 25 g net carbohydrate and 1.6 g protein per kilogram of current weight; its higher-protein mode uses 30 g net carbohydrate and 2.0 g/kg protein. Fat grams are calculated from the calories left after carbohydrate and protein, using 9 kcal per gram of fat.
Example
For the sample values prefilled in this calculator, the primary result is 176.4 g/day (Keto fat target), Net carbs is 25 g/day, and Protein is 128 g/day. This example is there to show how the inputs flow through the implemented equation; replace the sample values with your own measurements before using the result.
How to interpret the result
The output shows the macro grams implied by those fixed rules and the calorie target. It is a mathematical macro split, not confirmation that nutritional ketosis will occur.
Limitations and notes
Sex, height, age, activity, and target weight are displayed but do not currently change the engine’s macro calculation. Keto diets may be unsuitable or need medical supervision for some people, especially with diabetes medications, pregnancy, kidney or liver disease, or a history of eating disorders.
