True Airspeed Calculator converts between true airspeed (TAS) and equivalent airspeed (EAS) using the ratio between actual air density and a reference sea-level density.
How the calculation works
EAS = TAS × √(ρ/ρ₀), and TAS = EAS × √(ρ₀/ρ). Choose which airspeed to calculate, enter the other airspeed, and provide positive actual and reference densities.
Limitations and notes
This density-ratio relation does not by itself model every compressibility, instrument, or atmospheric correction used in flight-performance work.
