If a game gets you walking, the distance still counts as movement. This calculator turns Pokémon GO egg distance into walking time, estimated calories and a rough “body-fat equivalent” so you can see the scale of the activity.
What this calculator does
Enter your weight, choose a 2 km, 5 km or 10 km egg, enter how many eggs you want to represent, and provide walking speed between 1 and 7.5 km/h. The tool calculates total distance, time, walking energy and an illustrative weight-equivalent number.
How to use it
Use a realistic average walking speed and count only the distance you actually expect to walk. The calculator assumes the selected egg distances add directly, so it is a simple activity model rather than a simulator of game mechanics, simultaneous hatch progress or GPS behavior.
How the calculation works
Total distance equals egg distance × number of eggs. Time equals distance ÷ speed. Energy uses a flat-ground ShapeSense walking equation that estimates kcal per kg per hour from walking speed, then multiplies by body weight and time. The displayed body-fat equivalent divides calories by 7,700 kcal/kg.
Example
At 70 kg, one 2 km egg and 5 km/h, the result is 0.4 hours (24 minutes), about 114 kcal and a theoretical 0.015 kg fat-energy equivalent. That last number is arithmetic, not a prediction of scale weight after one walk.
How to interpret the result
The most useful outputs are distance and activity time. Calories are approximate, and body weight does not change in a simple 7,700-kcal-per-kilogram line from a single session. Appetite, fluid balance, metabolism and activity outside the walk all matter.
Limitations and notes
The model assumes flat-ground walking and a steady speed within the supported range. Hills, stops, running, carrying weight and individual fitness can change energy use. Use it for motivation and rough comparison, not as a medical weight-loss target or justification for extreme exercise.
