ACFT Calculator

A fitness score only makes sense when the event set and scoring standard are clear. ACFT Calculator shows how the performances entered map to the model built into this tool.

What this calculator does

The Army Combat Fitness Test, or ACFT, used six events to summarize strength, power, muscular endurance, anaerobic capacity, core endurance, and two-mile running performance. This calculator scores those legacy ACFT events from the values entered. Fitness-test scores depend on the exact event rules and scoring tables in force at the time, so historical and current standards should be kept separate.

How to use it

Choose the unit type and legacy test option, then enter deadlift, standing power throw, hand-release push-ups, sprint-drag-carry time, the selected core event, and two-mile run time. The calculator converts those performances into event points and a total.

How the calculation works

Each event result is converted to points using the calculator’s built-in scoring anchors and interpolation, then the event points are added for a total score. The tool supports either the leg tuck or plank option in the legacy event set and reports whether the stored passing logic is met.

Example

For the sample values prefilled in this calculator, the primary result is 467.3 points (Pass), MDL is 68, and SPT is 78. This example is there to show how the inputs flow through the implemented equation; replace the sample values with your own measurements before using the result.

How to interpret the result

Use the output to understand how the entered performances map to this calculator’s legacy ACFT scoring model. A higher total reflects more points across the six events, but the individual event scores are just as important when checking where points were gained or lost.

Limitations and notes

The U.S. Army replaced the ACFT with the Army Fitness Test (AFT) on June 1, 2025. This calculator is therefore historical/legacy and should not be used as the current official Army fitness standard. The displayed goal selection also does not alter the current scoring engine; for official requirements, use the current Army tables and policy.
