Air Force PT Calculator

A fitness score only makes sense when the event set and scoring standard are clear. Air Force PT Calculator shows how the performances entered map to the model built into this tool.

What this calculator does

Air Force physical fitness scoring has changed over time, and this calculator represents the specific test components encoded in the plugin: abdominal circumference, push-ups, sit-ups, and either a 1.5-mile run or 2-km walk. Fitness-test scores depend on the exact event rules and scoring tables in force at the time, so historical and current standards should be kept separate.

How to use it

Enter or select the requested values, including Age, Sex, Abdominal circumference, Push-ups, Sit-ups, and Aerobic exercise. Complete the remaining fields shown in the calculator before reading the result.

How the calculation works

The calculator maps each entered component to points using its internal interpolation rules and combines them into a composite score. The age and sex fields are displayed, but the current engine does not use them to select age- or sex-specific official scoring tables.

Example

For the sample values prefilled in this calculator, the primary result is 91.14 points (Passing composite range), Aerobic is 45, and Push-ups is 13.3. This example is there to show how the inputs flow through the implemented equation; replace the sample values with your own measurements before using the result.

How to interpret the result

Use the result only to see how your entries behave under this calculator’s stored model. Component-level performance is more informative than assuming the composite score is an official current Air Force result.

Limitations and notes

Department of the Air Force fitness policy and scoring changed in 2026, so this calculator should not be treated as the current official PFA scoring tool. Its event set and scoring logic are simplified/legacy. Always confirm current component options, exemptions, minimums, and scoring charts with official Air Force guidance.
