Training data are easier to act on when each event feeds a transparent score. APFT Calculator brings those event results together in one place.
What this calculator does
The Army Physical Fitness Test, or APFT, was the Army’s three-event test before newer fitness systems replaced it. This calculator scores push-ups, sit-ups, and the two-mile run using its stored APFT-style model. Fitness-test scores depend on the exact event rules and scoring tables in force at the time, so historical and current standards should be kept separate.
How to use it
Enter or select Sex, Age, Push-ups, Sit-ups, and Two-mile run time. Use the units offered by the calculator and keep measurements consistent when you plan to compare results over time.
How the calculation works
Each of the three event performances is converted to points with the calculator’s built-in interpolation anchors, and the points are summed for a total score. Sex and age appear in the form, but the present engine does not use them to select the historical official age/sex tables.
Example
For the sample values prefilled in this calculator, the primary result is 259 points (Pass), Push-ups is 84, and Sit-ups is 82. This example is there to show how the inputs flow through the implemented equation; replace the sample values with your own measurements before using the result.
How to interpret the result
The result is useful for historical comparison, practice, or understanding the old three-event scoring concept. It should be read as an estimate from this implementation rather than an official record score.
Limitations and notes
APFT is a legacy test, and official historical scores depended on age- and sex-specific standards. Because those tables are not fully applied by this engine, the calculator can differ from an official APFT score. Do not use it for current Army qualification decisions.
